‘Mom’, a movie by director Ravi Udyawar featuring Sridevi, Akshaye Khanna, Sajal Ali, Adnan Siddiqui and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles was released on July 7, 2017. While it was legendary diva Sridevi’s 300th film, it also introduced another Pakistani actress to Bollywood, the gorgeous Sajal Ali.
The filmmaker praised the actors from the neighboring country for their professionalism and performance.
“We have two very talented actors Sajal and Adnan who are unfortunately not here (to promote the film) but their contribution to the film is immense.

Sajal Ali never disappoints her followers and is always active on her social media handles. From her daily outfit to behind the scenes of ‘Mom’ she had been giving a glimpse of everything to her fans in both the countries.
Expressing her admiration for Sajal Ali, Sridevi said Mom would have been incomplete without Sajal Ali. “Sajal mera bachha I love you. I don’t know why I have become so emotional.The way you have worked in the film, it is incredible,” Sridevi is shown saying in the video clip posted by Sajal.
Sajal expressed her happiness about the appreciation she had received and also said that she is proud of herself. ”It is the best feeling to get appreciated for your work by the critics across the border,” Sajal told Indian Express.
According to new numbers shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh the film has not witnessed any striking growth.
” #Mom Fri 2.90 cr, Sat 5.08 cr, Sun 6.42 cr, Mon 2.52 cr, Tue 2.74 cr, Wed 2.23 cr, Thu 1.91 cr. Total: ₹ 23.80 cr. India biz,” wrote Taran Adarsh.
“#Mom retains 700 screens in Week 2… Will be interesting to see how the biz holds when faced with new film releases,” he added.
MOM had released with films like Spider-Man: Homecoming and Guest Iin London. While the latter has failed to beat MOM, it is facing a tough competition from the Marvel film.
MOM is a thriller drama which tells a poignant tale of a mother and a daughter attempting to rebuild their relationship from scratch. It also marks Sridevi’s 300th film. She had made her debut in the Bollywood film industry nearly 50 years ago.
